    Smith signed with the Jets' practice squad Wednesday. Smith's impressive preseason performance was enough to earn a spot on the Jets' practice squad, as he caught all five of his targets for a team-leading 120 yards. Although he has yet to appear in an NFL regular-season game since entering the league in 2021, he could be elevated to the Jets' active roster if injuries riddle the team's wide receiver room at any point this season.

Smith spent time in the Dallas and Arizona organizations prior to being signed by the Jets in early August, though he's yet to get into an NFL regular-season game.
