  • Titans' Blake Watson: Inks future deal with Tennessee

The Titans signed Watson (undisclosed) to a reserve/future contract Monday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports. Watson signed with the Titans' practice squad in late September after being let go by the Broncos with an injury settlement in late August due to a knee injury. He was placed on Tennessee's practice squad injured list in early October due to an undisclosed issue and was not elevated to the active roster for the 2025 campaign. Watson will stick around in Tennessee and participate in offseason activities with an eye toward making the 53-man roster for the 2026 season.

  • Broncos' Blake Watson: Set to be let go

Watson (knee) is in line to be waived after reaching an injury settlement with the Broncos, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports. Watson suffered a PCL strain in the team's preseason finale against the Saints on Saturday, and he will now be let go instead of being placed on injured reserve. The running back will rehab the injury and attempt to pass a physical and sign elsewhere in 2025.

  • Broncos' Blake Watson: Signed to active roster

The Broncos signed Watson to their active roster from their practice squad Tuesday, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports. Watson appeared in two games for Denver while on their practice squad and has carried the ball twice for nine yards. He could see increased usage once again during Saturday's matchup versus the Bengals if Jaleel McLaughlin (quadricep) is out again.

  • Blake Watson: Reverts to practice squad

Watson reverted to the Broncos' practice squad Friday, per the NFL's transaction log. Watson was elevated to Denver's active roster for the second time this season ahead of the Week 16 loss to the Chargers, taking four carries for 10 yards while catching one of his two targets for 13 yards over just 10 offensive snaps. The Memphis product could be elevated again for the Broncos' Week 17 matchup against the Bengals if Jaleel McLaughlin (quadriceps) is sidelined for the second consecutive game.

  • Broncos' Blake Watson: Elevated for TNF against Bolts

The Broncos elevated Watson from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Thursday night's game against the Chargers, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports. It's the second time Watson has been elevated from the practice squad this season. The first instance was in Week 5 against the Raiders, and he finished that game with two snaps (one on offense, one on special teams), but didn't otherwise show up on the box score. Watson will serve as Denver's No. 3 running back Thursday behind Javonte Williams and Audric Estime due to Jaleel McLaughlin being ruled out with a quadriceps injury.

  • Broncos' Blake Watson: Won't play at Tampa Bay

Watson (coach's decision) is listed as inactive for Sunday's game at the Buccaneers. Watson will have to wait at least one more week to make his NFL debut. In his stead, Tyler Badie will suit up for the second straight week to serve as Denver's third option out of the backfield.

  • Broncos' Blake Watson: Expected to play Week 2

Watson is expected to be active for the Broncos' Week 2 game against the Steelers on Sunday after Audric Estime (ankle) was placed on injured reserve, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports. The Broncos went with three running backs for the regular-season opener against the Seahawks, which left Watson as a healthy inactive behind Javonte Williams, Jaleel McLaughlin and Estime. With Estime set to miss at least the next four regular-season games while on IR, Watson will slide into the No. 3 role in the backfield behind Williams and McLaughlin for Sunday's game against Pittsburgh. Watson played in all three of Denver's preseason games and turned 26 carries into 84 yards and one touchdown and added two catches for 46 yards.

  • Broncos' Blake Watson: Healthy scratch for opener

Watson (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 1 matchup against the Seahawks. Watson is clearly behind Javonte Williams, Jaleel McLaughlin and rookie fifth-round pick Audric Estime on the running back depth chart, making his inactive status for the opener unsurprising. The undrafted rookie beat the odds to make the final 53-man roster, but Watson will likely need an injury to one of his aforementioned trio of teammates to garner active status in the foreseeable future.

  • Broncos' Blake Watson: Expected to recover

Watson is expected to be recover from a slight leg muscle tweak that landed him on the Broncos' active/non-football injury list, Ryan McFadden of The Denver Post reports. Watson's placement on the NFI list is seemingly a procedural matter heading into training camp. A quick recovery would be in the undrafted rookie's best interest, as he is attempting to earn a depth role in Denver's backfield. Thus, the more time on the field the better.

  • Broncos' Blake Watson: Lands on NFI list

The Broncos placed Watson on the active/non-football injury list Wednesday with an undisclosed injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Watson appears to have sustained his injury away from Denver's practice facilities. The undrafted rookie out of Memphis will be eligible to return to practice at any point throughout training camp or the preseason, once cleared, but any amount of time missed will negatively impact his chances of earning a depth role in the Broncos backfield.

  • Blake Watson: Lands with Denver

Watson is slated to sign with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent, Nick Kosmider of The Athletic reports. Watson spent five years at Old Dominion before transferring to Memphis for his super-senior season. He led the Tigers in rushing with 192-1,152-14 on the ground and added 53-480-3 as a receiver, earning All-AAC honors. Watson joins a crowded Denver backfield depth chart that includes Javonte Williams, Samaje Perine, Jaleel McLaughlin and fifth-round rookie Audric Estime.
