Borghi was waived by the Steelers on Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
Borghi joined the Steelers on Aug. 18 after being waived by the Broncos, but he will now look for another opportunity elsewhere. The running back had one carry for one yard this preseason and will likely start the 2022 campaign on some team's practice squad.

The Steelers signed Borghi on Thursday.
Borghi will head to Pittsburgh just two days after being waived by the Broncos. The undrafted rookie out of Washington State totaled four carries for 10 yards during Denver's preseason opener Saturday. Borghi will now look to compete with Anthony McFarland, Jaylen Warren and Mataeo Durant for a possible depth role in the Steelers' running back room this preseason.

The Broncos waived Borghi on Tuesday, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports.
Borghi participated with the Broncos during rookie minicamp but didn't earn a contract until the start of August, when Damarea Crockett (knee) tore his ACL. The undrafted product out of Washington State will have to look elsewhere for a new NFL opportunity, but he posted 880 yards and 12 rushing touchdowns during his senior season in 2021 so he may garner some interest from around the league.

While he didn't receive a contract at the time, the team opted to bring Borghi in as a depth option after Damarea Crockett (knee) tore his ACL on Tuesday. Borghi is participating in minicamp with the Broncos on a tryout basis, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.
The 23-year-old Washington State product was waived by the Colts about a month ago and still is trying to find some footing in the NFL. Borghi excelled as a pass-catching back in college, but even so he's a long shot to land a spot with the team.
