  • Falcons' Chris Blair: Sticking around Atlanta

The Falcons signed Blair to a reserve/future contract Monday, Tori McElhaney of the team's official website reports. Blair spent the entirety of the 2025 campaign as a member of the practice squad with Atlanta, appearing in three contests in December. The wide receiver played 12 snaps on offense in those games, failing to record any stats on those snaps. Blair will now get an opportunity to train with the Falcons during the offseason, and he'll look to impress in order to attempt to get a shot with the active roster in 2026.

  • Chris Blair: Goes back to practice squad

Blair reverted to the Falcons' practice squad Tuesday. Blair was elevated from the practice squad ahead of Monday's 27-24 win over the Rams and was limited to six snaps on special teams. He recorded one tackle on kick coverage but didn't see any reps at receiver, despite Atlanta making Casey Washington and Malik Heath healthy inactives for the game. Since Blair has now been elevated from the practice squad the maximum three times, he would need to be signed to the 53-man roster in order to be eligible to play in Sunday's season finale versus the Saints.

  • Falcons' Chris Blair: Elevated for Week 17

The Falcons elevated Blair from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of Monday night's game against the Rams, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports. It's the third and final time that the Falcons are allowed to elevate Blair from the practice squad this season. He would have to be signed to the active roster in order to be eligible to play in Atlanta's regular-season finale against New Orleans on Sunday. Blair played in Weeks 15 and 16 but did not record a target.

  • Chris Blair: Back to practice squad

Blair reverted to the Falcons' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Blair played nine of 77 offensive snaps in Sunday's win over the Cardinals but wasn't targeted in the passing game, as he operated as Atlanta's WR4 behind Darnell Mooney, Drake London and David Sills. Blair doesn't have a catch across two appearances this season.

  • Chris Blair: Staying in ATL on practice squad

The Falcons signed Blair to the practice squad Wednesday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports. Blair had an impressive training camp and finished the preseason with 12 catches (on 18 targets) for 197 yards and two touchdowns in three games. He wasn't able to crack the Falcons' 53-man roster, but he will stick around on the practice squad and could be elevated if Atlanta needs depth at wide receiver on game day. Blair has appeared in five regular-season games since joining the NFL in 2020 as an undrafted rookie.

  • Falcons' Chris Blair: Catches TD in preseason opener

Blair caught three of four targets for 54 yards and a touchdown during Friday's 17-10 preseason loss to the Lions. The undrafted wideout from Alcorn State has made five regular-season appearances with the Falcons over the last two seasons, securing only one of two targets for 17 yards. Like Dylan Drummond, Blair's familiarity with the organization and strong impression in the preseason opener help his chances of making the team. However, there's still stiff competition for roster spots behind Drake London, Darnell Mooney, Ray-Ray McCloud and KhaDarel Hodge. Given Jamal Agnew's return abilities, he'll likely take the fifth spot, leaving Blair to compete with Casey Washington, DJ Chark, David Sills and Drummond for potentially only one spot.

  • Falcons' Chris Blair: Signed to 53-man roster

The Falcons signed Blair off their practice squad Saturday. Blair played six special teams snaps for Atlanta back in Week 1 but has played zero downs since. He was out of elevations, so the Falcons needed to sign him to the 53-man roster if they were going to have him for Week 16. Blair could get some playing time if KhaDarel Hodge (ribs) needs to miss Sunday's game.

  • Chris Blair: Reverts to practice squad

Blair reverted to the Falcons' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. For the second time this season, Blair was elevated from the practice squad only to not play a single snap. He's been elevated for three games this season, the maximum allotment. Atlanta would have to sign Blair to the active roster in order to have him available on game day moving forward.

  • Chris Blair: Returns to practice squad

Blair reverted to the Falcons' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log. Blair was elevated to the active roster ahead of Sunday's 18-10 loss to the Steelers, failing to produce any stats while playing six snaps with the special-teams unit. The wide receiver can be elevated two more times before the team would have to officially add him to the 53-man roster.

  • Falcons' Chris Blair: Elevated to active roster

Blair was elevated to the active roster Saturday for the Falcons' regular-season opener against the Steelers on Sunday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports. Blair played in all three exhibition games for the Falcons, and he finished fourth in the league with 154 yards on eight catches during the preseason. He appeared in one game for Atlanta in 2023, playing 19 snaps (nine on offense, 10 on special teams) without registering a catch in Week 12 against New Orleans.

  • Falcons' Chris Blair: Leads team in receiving

Blair caught four of five targets for 91 yards in Saturday's 13-12 preseason loss to Baltimore. Blair had more than three-fourths of Atlanta's receiving yards in the first half and then added a 27-yard catch in the third quarter before calling it a day. He's a 2021 UDFA with one regular-season NFL appearance to his name, but he flashed some downfield chops this past spring with the UFL's DC Defenders while generating a 25-584-3 across 10 regular-season games. Blair's total of 136 yards through two preseason games gives him a decent case for a backup job on a team with shaky WR depth behind starters Drake London and Darnell Mooney.

  • Falcons' Chris Blair: Gets reserve/future deal from ATL

The Falcons signed Blair to a reserve/future contract Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Blair spent much of his first two professional seasons in the Packers organization before joining Atlanta in 2023. He was elevated from the team's practice squad for Week 12 against New Orleans and saw his first NFL action, logging nine snaps on offense and 10 on special teams without recording any stats. Blair will be able to compete for a roster spot during training camp this summer.

The Falcons elevated Blair to the active roster Saturday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports. The Falcons signed Blair to their practice squad Wednesday, Scott Bair of the team's official site reports. Blair had a tryout with Atlanta on Tuesday and impressed enough to earn himself a spot on the practice squad. With Penny Hart (concussion) on injured reserve and Josh Ali (ankle) questionable, Blair could have an opportunity to be called up for action against the Jaguars on Sunday'.

  • Chris Blair: Waived off IR

Blair (undisclosed) and the Falcons came to terms on an injury settlement Monday. Blair had been on Atlanta's injured reserve since Aug. 4 due to an undisclosed injury. He now will be free to look for a new landing spot once his health allows it. The 25-year-old is coming off a breakout season with the XFL's D.C. Defenders this spring and is looking to capitalize off that momentum.

  • Falcons' Chris Blair: Reverts to injured reserve

Blair (undisclosed) reverted to the Falcons' injured reserve Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Blair was waived with an undisclosed injury designation Thursday, but he went unclaimed and thus reverted to Atlanta's IR. The undrafted wideout will now be forced to miss the entire 2023 campaign, barring an injury settlement. Blair has yet to make his NFL regular-season debut, but he enjoyed a breakout season with the XFL's D.C. Defenders this spring.
