  • Rams' Duke Shelley: Leaves game with injury

Shelley is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Cardinals after sustaining a hamstring injury, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports. Shelley has mostly contributed on special teams this season while also playing a backup corner role behind starters Ahkello Witherspoon and Cobie Durant. Shelley did not record a stat before exiting Sunday's contest, and while he's on the sidelines, Tre Tomlinson is a candidate to see increased work on special teams and in the secondary.

  • Rams' Duke Shelley: Headed to Los Angeles

Shelley signed with the Rams on Friday, Stu Jackson of the team's official site reports. Shelley will join the Rams after spending the offseason with the Raiders. The 26-year-old appeared in 11 games for the Vikings last season and logged 31 tackles (23 solo) and an interception and could provide solid depth to a secondary that lacks proven talent.

  • Duke Shelley: Waived by Chicago

The Bears waived Shelley on Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Shelley made the initial 53-man roster but was let go one day later following a plethora of waiver claims. The 2019 sixth-round pick saw an expanded role in each of his first three seasons with the Bears and registered career highs in tackles (37), pass defenses (three) and defensive snaps (385) in 2021.

  • Bears' Duke Shelley: Out for Sunday

Shelley (heel) is out Sunday against the Giants. Shelley's absence Sunday will be his fifth in six games after he initially dealt with a hamstring injury. The third-year pro's absence will leave the Bears down a starting corner. Artie Burns will likely now step into that role.

  • Bears' Duke Shelley: Questionable for Week 17

Shelley (heel) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants. Shelley returned to the field for last week's win over Seattle and totaled four tackles (three solo). However, he is dealing with a heel injury ahead of Week 17. If the 25-year-old is unable to play Sunday against the Giants, Artie Burns and Thomas Graham should see increased playing time.

  • Bears' Duke Shelley: Best game of season

Shelley posted seven tackles in the Bears' 29-27 loss to the Steelers on Monday. After notching 17 tackles over Chicago's first three games of the season, Shelley's production tailed off and he posted just seven tackles in the following three games. His inconsistent production will make him a difficult player to trust in IDP leagues after the Bears' Week 10 bye.

  • Bears' Duke Shelley: Suiting up Sunday

Shelley (ankle) is active for Sunday's matchup against Tampa Bay, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports. Shelley popped up on the injury report Thursday and backtracked from a limited practice to no participation Friday. Nevertheless, he's active for Sunday's game and should serve a backup role in the Bears' secondary.
