Witherstone (toe) was waived from the Chiefs' IR with an injury settlement Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Witherstone reverted to Kansas City's IR last week after going unclaimed off waivers. Now that a settlement has been agreed to, he'll be free to look for a new opportunity once his health allows it. Anthony Witherstone: Let go by Chiefs
Witherstone (toe) has been waived/injured by the Chiefs, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports. Witherstone injured his toe in Sunday's preseason opening 26-24 loss to the Saints. He is now in danger of being placed on injured reserve should no team claim him off waivers.
