    Battle posted 12 tackles (10 solo) in Thursday's Week 11 loss to Baltimore. Battle led the Bengals with a season-high 12 stops in the Thursday night loss. Perhaps more significantly, he played on 86 percent of Cincinnati's defensive snaps, seeing by far his most action of the campaign. Meanwhile, Nick Scott played on just 17 percent of the team's defensive snaps, suggesting that Battle has surpassed him on the depth chart.

  • Bengals' Jordan Battle: Possible Bates replacement in Cincy

    The Bengals selected Battle in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 95th overall. Out goes Jessie Bates, in comes Battle to compete for a role at safety. Battle is a sure-tackling prospect out of Alabama who amassed an impressive 251 combined stops over four seasons with the Tide. He didn't test as a standout athlete, but Battle also had multiple long interception returns for touchdown while in college. Battle and Dax Hill could form a promising young safety tandem in Cincinnati.
