The Cardinals signed Payton to their practice squad Wednesday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Payton and Jeff Cotton were signed to Arizona's practice squad after the team placed JaVonta Payton (undisclosed) on the practice squad injured list. The rookie undrafted free agent joined the Cardinals in May after catching 18 passes for 413 yards and six touchdowns during his final season at Tennessee.
