    Bryant (ankle) was a full participant at the Patriots' practice Tuesday. Bryant has opened the week with back-to-back full sessions with the Patriots, and he may be trending towards a return to action in the near future. The offensive lineman has missed the entirety of the 2026 campaign to this point after picking up an ankle injury during the preseason, but the team opened his 21-day practice window Wednesday. With New England traveling to face the Bears on Thursday, Bryant may not be ready to go in advance of Week 7, but Wednesday's injury report will provide more clarity towards his status.

    The Patriots opened the 21-day practice window Wednesday for Bryant (ankle) to return from injured reserve. Bryant suffered an ankle injury in the preseason. The offensive tackle has served his four-game regular-season minimum on IR and is ready to return to the field. Bryant was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, and the Patriots have until Nov. 4 to return him to the active roster, or he will finish the 2026 season on IR.

    The Patriots placed Bryant (ankle) on injured reserve with a designation to return Sunday. Bryant suffered an ankle injury during the Patriots' second preseason game Saturday, Aug. 22 against the Eagles. The injury is severe enough for the second-year pro to open the regular season on IR, meaning he'll be required to miss at least the first four games of the regular season. Bryant did not start in any of the 12 regular-season games he appeared in last year, and in his absence, the likes of Caleb Lomu, Walter Rouse and Dametrious Crownover will provide depth at offensive tackle behind Morgan Moses and Will Campbell.

  • Patriots' Marcus Bryant: Ruled out with ankle injury

    Bryant has been ruled out for the rest of Saturday's preseason game against the Eagles due to an ankle injury, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports. Bryant sustained the injury on the Patriots' first offensive drive of the game. He had to be helped off the field by trainers before going to the locker room, where he'll undergo more tests to determine the severity of his injury. Dametrious Crownover has taken over at right tackle for Bryant.
