  • Bears' Kiran Amegadjie: Won't play Sunday

Amegadije (calf) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Patriots. Amegadije is now in line to miss his second game in a row Sunday due to a calf injury likely sustained in the Bears' Week 8 loss to the Commanders. Chicago will be without three of its top tackles in Amegadije, Braxton Jones (knee) and Darnell Wright (knee) in Week 10. Expect Larry Borom and Matt Pryor to serve as the Bears' top left and right tackles, respectively.

  • Bears' Kiran Amegadjie: Ruled out for Week 9

Amegadjie (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against Arizona. With starter Braxton Jones (knee) also ruled out, Matt Pryor will likely draw the start at left tackle versus the Cardinals.

  • Bears' Kiran Amegadjie: Starting camp on NFI list

The Bears placed Amegadjie (quadriceps) on the active/non-football injury list Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Amegadjie was injured prior to the 2024 NFL Draft and missed all of OTAs and minicamp after the Bears selected him in the third round. It's hard to envision Amegadjie pushing Braxton Jones or Darnell Wright for a starting job at offensive tackle this summer after all of the missed reps.

  • Bears' Kiran Amegadjie: Headed home to Chicago

The Bears selected Amegadjie in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 75th overall. A Chicago native out of noted football factory, Yale, Amegadjie is an impressive prospect with a legitimate chance to make the leap to NFL stardom. At 6-foot-5 and 323 pounds with 36-inch arms, Amegadjie has the size and length to stick at tackle on paper. He dominated Ivy League competition but the NFL will be a big step up. He will be just 22 years old for his entire rookie season, and thus, the Bears will not need to rush him onto the field if the starting unit stays intact. In time, look for Amegadjie to challenge for tackle reps in the Windy City.
