Quinn will be traded to the Dolphins, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The trade can't officially go through until March 14 when the new league year begins. The Rams figure to recoup some of the draft capital they lost in the recent trade for CB Marcus Peters, also clearing up cap room as they prepare to sign DT Aaron Donald to a massive contract. A 2011 first-round selection, Quinn has struggled to stay healthy since piling up 40 sacks from 2012 to 2014, but he did bounce back to some extent with 8.5 sacks in 15 games in 2017. An outside linebacker under Wade Phillips last year, Quinn presumably will move back to defensive end in Miami.
Quinn recorded 32 tackles (21 solo) and 8.5 sacks during the 2017 season.
Good health and defensive coordinator Wade Phillips' switch to a 3-4 defense helped Quinn post his best fantasy season since the 2014 campaign. He'll probably never return to being the elite edge rusher he was earlier in his career, but the 27-year-old veteran is definitely still capable of disrupting the backfield and pressuring quarterbacks. It's also encouraging for Quinn's fantasy prospects that he recorded 16 tackles (12 solo), seven sacks and two forced fumbles over the final seven games, including the loss to Atlanta in the wild-card round.
Quinn had two solo tackles and two sacks Sunday against the Seahawks.
The Rams got to Seahawks QB Russell Wilson seven times Sunday, and now Quinn has six sacks in his last four games. The seventh-year pro played just 31 of 57 possible snaps, too, further proving his abilities. The Titans will be a tough matchup to keep up his streak, though, since QB Marcus Mariota gets dropped on just 5.5 percent of his dropbacks, ranking 12th in the league.
Quinn accrued three solo tackles and one sack against the Cardinals on Sunday.
Quinn now has a sack in consecutive games, with a season total of 4.5 sacks. Most of his fantasy value leans on Quinn getting to the quarterback, though, so he is best summoned against poor offensive fronts.
Quinn recorded five tackles (three solo), a sack and a forced fumble during Sunday's 26-20 win over the Saints.
This was easily Quinn's best outing of the season. With just 24 tackles (15 solo) and 3.5 sacks through 10 games, it's been a bit of an underwhelming showing for the 27-year-old veteran. However, the Rams defense has been making plays week in, week out all year, so there's potential for Quinn to join in the fun and post strong numbers during the fantasy stretch drive.
