Colts' T.Y. Hilton: Returns to Indy
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hilton agreed Wednesday with the Colts on a one-year, $10 million contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Hilton will stay in Indianapolis for at least one more season, catching passes from Carson Wentz after one season of working with Philip Rivers. Each of Hilton's five 1,000-yard seasons came with Andrew Luck under center, but the 31-year-old wideout at least played well over the final six weeks of the 2020 regular season, catching 27 passes for 435 yards and five touchdowns. Hilton won't necessarily see an uptick on last year's average of 6.2 targets per game, but the contract makes it clear the Colts still view him as a reliable starter.

Colts' T.Y. Hilton: Still wanted in Indy
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Colts owner Jim Irsay said Wednesday that he wants to keep Hilton in Indianapolis in 2021, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports.

While he averaged just 50.1 and 50.8 receiving yards per game the past two seasons, Hilton enjoyed a surge in production late in the 2020 campaign, putting up 27 receptions for 435 yards and five touchdowns over the final six weeks. Now scheduled for unrestricted free agency, the 31-year-old wideout has already expressed a desire to re-sign with the Colts, but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll take a hometown discount. There should be at least a handful of teams that view Hilton as a potential upgrade for their second or third receiver spot.

Colts' T.Y. Hilton: Blanketed in playoff defeat
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hilton caught two of five passes for 32 yards in Saturday's 27-24 wild-card round loss to the Bills.

After a strong finish to the regular season, Hilton failed to get much separation against shutdown cornerback Tre'Davious White, tying for fifth on the Colts in receiving yards. The 31-year-old wide receiver will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

Colts' T.Y. Hilton: Gets into end zone in win
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hilton secured three of seven targets for 27 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 28-14 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.

The veteran speedster wasn't able to make much of an impact on the stat sheet on an afternoon when Jonathan Taylor's 253 rushing yards spearheaded the offensive attack, but Hilton salvaged his fantasy line by notching a six-yard scoring grab to cap off the Colts' first drive of the game. The 31-year-old frequently put together pedestrian performances over the first nine games of the season, but he picked up the pace nicely in the last six contests with a 23-354-4 line. Hilton will now look to continue making his presence in the air attack felt versus the Bills in a road wild-card matchup next weekend.

Colts' T.Y. Hilton: Contributes 60 yards vs. Steelers
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hilton caught three of seven targets for 60 yards during Sunday's 28-24 loss to the Steelers.

Hilton led the team in targets but struggled to connect with Philip Rivers on several occasions. He made the most of his catches, however, as his average of 20.0 yards per catch was his second-best of the season. While Hilton's production isn't always flashy, he's quietly recorded at least 60 yards in five straight games and has averaged more than 17.0 yards per catch in four of those. He will look to finish the regular season on a high note in next Sunday's favorable matchup against the Jaguars.

Colts' T.Y. Hilton: Records 71 yards
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hilton recorded four receptions on six targets for 71 yards in Week 15 against the Texans.

Hilton had logged only three receptions for 30 yards with three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. However, he nearly turned his performance around with one play when he hauled in a 41-yard catch that carried him three yards shy of the end zone. Even with the mediocre performance against an exploitable secondary, Hilton has had a 70-yard floor across his last four games. He'll now prepare for a Week 16 matchup against the Steelers.

Colts' T.Y. Hilton: Scores twice in win over Raiders
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hilton caught five of seven targets for 86 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 44-27 win over the Raiders.

Hilton got rolling with a seven-yard touchdown in the first quarter and struck again from 41 yards out in the second. He led the team in receiving yardage for the third straight week and is averaging 92.3 yards per game during that span, which is a huge improvement over his numbers from the first nine games. Hilton also has four touchdowns during that span and will look to keep up his prolific recent form next Sunday against a Texans defense that was just lit up for 36 points by a pedestrian Bears attack.

Colts' T.Y. Hilton: Delivers vintage performance
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hilton caught eight of 11 targets for 110 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 26-20 win over the Texans.

Hilton routinely ripped off healthy chunks of yardage and found the end zone for the second straight week with a 21-yard score in the first quarter. The veteran has bounced back nicely after a string of poor performances, including 12 catches for 191 yards and a pair of touchdowns over the last two weeks. Hilton will look to continue his newfound productivity in a favorable matchup against the Raiders next Sunday.

Colts' T.Y. Hilton: Delivers first touchdown
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hilton recorded four receptions on five targets for 81 yards and a touchdown in Week 12 against the Titans.

Hilton recorded his highest yardage total of the season as the Colts were in comeback mode from the middle of the second quarter onward. Much of his production was dictated by the game script, as both his 50-yard reception and five-yard touchdown came in the fourth quarter with the Colts down by three scores. Encouragingly for Hilton, he outproduced rookie Michael Pittman, who was held for only two receptions and 28 yards. Hilton will draw an exploitable matchup in Week 13 against the Texans.

Colts' T.Y. Hilton: Leads way with six targets
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hilton recorded three receptions on six targets for 36 yards against the Packers in Week 11.

Philip Rivers spread the ball around to many of his pass-catching options, allowing Hilton to lead the team with six targets. Hilton did manage to haul in a 23-yard touch pass down the left sideline in the third quarter, his first catch of more than 20 yards since Week 3. Hilton has proven unreliable through nine games, lacking both the explosiveness and volume that he has delivered in past seasons.

Colts' T.Y. Hilton: Four catches in Week 10 win
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hilton secured four of five targets for 40 yards in the Colts' 34-17 win over the Titans on Thursday night.

The veteran speedster amassed all his production in the first half, leaving him with solid but unspectacular numbers yet again. Hilton saw rookie teammate Michael Pittman take a significant step forward with a 7-101 line through the air and another 21 yards on a reverse, numbers that could foretell an ongoing changing of the guard in Indianapolis' pass-catching corps. Hilton is still looking for both his first 100-yard effort and receiving touchdown of the season, milestones he'll try to reach in a Week 11 interconference matchup against the Packers that could feature plenty of passing.

Colts' T.Y. Hilton: Cleared to play Thursday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hilton (groin) doesn't carry an injury designation into Thursday's game against the Titans, Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reports.

The Colts conducted walkthroughs Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and each time, the team listed Hilton as a full participant on the practice report. The wideout's return to action after a one-game absence is good news for the Colts, as Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis points out that the team is 1-10 in games that Hilton has missed over his career. To date, Hilton's production has been subpar, with the 30-year-old having logged a modest 22-251-0 stat line through seven games.

Colts' T.Y. Hilton: Listed as full participant again
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Colts listed Hilton (groin) as a full participant on Tuesday's estimated practice report.

Coming off a 24-10 loss to the Ravens on Sunday, the Colts are facing a quick turnaround in Week 10 with a Thursday night game in Tennessee. As a result, the team hasn't held traditional practices Monday or Tuesday, so Hilton hasn't had a chance to test out his groin in a full-contact session. That said, the fact that the Colts have estimated him as a full participant on back-to-back days implies optimism that he'll be ready to return to action this week after sitting out against Baltimore. For his part, Hilton said Tuesday that he's "very close" to being back to full speed, though he admitted a final decision on his Week 10 status will be determined by the Colts' coaching and training staffs, per Zak Keefer of The Athletic.

Colts' T.Y. Hilton: Listed as full participant
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hilton (groin) is listed as a full participant on Monday's estimated practice report.

Hilton was held out of Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Ravens due to a groin issue, and Zak Keefer of The Athletic called the veteran wideout uncertain for Thursday's game in Tennessee, but Monday's estimated practice report would seem to hint that he's on track to play Week 10. Of course, it'll be worth tracking whether Hilton actually handles a full workload when the Colts go through a full on-field practice. The 30-year-old speedster is still looking for his first score of the season.

Colts' T.Y. Hilton: Uncertain for Thursday's game
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hilton (groin) may return for Thursday's matchup against the Titans, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports.

Hilton was held out of practice last week, and now he'll need to make a quick recovery on a short week to play Thursday. The Colts have planned for light practices Monday and Tuesday, and it could be tough to draw a conclusion on Hilton's health from those sessions. Marcus Johnson, Michael Pittman and Zach Pascal all played more than 87 percent of the offensive snaps with Hilton out of the lineup Week 9, and they may serve similar roles if Hilton misses another contest.

Colts' T.Y. Hilton: Won't play against Ravens
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hilton (groin) is inactive Week 9 against Baltimore.

Hilton wasn't on the field for much of pregame warmups and after entering the week with a "doubtful" tag, he'll ultimately live up to the expectation that he wouldn't play. The Colts will be left with Zach Pascal, and Michael Pittman to lead the receiving corps, while Marcus Johnson (knee) will also be available for the contest. It remains to be seen if Hilton can turn things around and get on the field Week 10, which may be difficult given the Colts must head to Tennessee for a Week 10 Thursday night matchup.

Colts' T.Y. Hilton: Deemed doubtful for Week 9
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Colts head coach Frank Reich said Hilton (groin) will be listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Ravens, Stephen Holder of The Athletic reports.

With Hilton's groin injury preventing him from practicing all week, the Colts aren't optimistic that the wideout will be ready to play come Sunday. Though he's shown in past seasons the ability to play through injuries with limited or no practice time prior to games, the 30-year-old Hilton no longer looks quite as invincible at this stage of his career. Hilton still has yet to score a touchdown in 2020 and hasn't cleared 70 receiving yards in any of his seven games while averaging a career-worst 6.4 yards per target.

Colts' T.Y. Hilton: Not seen at Friday's practice
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hilton (groin) wasn't spotted at practice Friday, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports.

Friday's final injury report will reveal whether Hilton has a shot to play Sunday against the Ravens, but a full week of missed practices doesn't bode well for his chances.

Colts' T.Y. Hilton: Listed as non-participant Thursday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Hilton (groin) was listed as a non-participant on Thursday's estimated practice report.

Since he's been a non-participant on back-to-back days, Hilton's activity at Friday's session will be pivotal with regard to his status for Sunday's game against the Ravens. Coach Frank Reich has suggested that Hilton doesn't necessarily need to practice in order to play this weekend, but a return to practice at any level of participation Friday would boost the wideout's chances of suiting up Week 9. For what it's worth, Hilton said that he's feeling "a lot better" since he first suffered the injury last Sunday, according to George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin.

Colts' T.Y. Hilton: Week 9 status TBD
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Coach Frank Reich said he's "not anticipating" that Hilton (groin) will practice Wednesday, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.

That said, Reich points out that Hilton has historically been a fast healer who doesn't necessarily need to practice in order to play. Even so, when asked about the wideout's status for Sunday's game against the Ravens, Reich acknowledged Wednesday that it's "too early to tell," according to Zak Keefer of The Athletic.
