Make it five straight absences for the 26-year-old guard, as Joeckel has yet to play since undergoing knee surgery in Week 6. Look for Ethan Pocic to continue to start at left guard in Joeckel's absence on Monday night.
Joeckel (knee) was ruled out for Thursday night's game against the Cardinals, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
Joeckel did not practice during the short week of preparations, so this was to be expected. The 26-year-old has not practiced since undergoing knee surgery during the Seahawks' bye in Week 6. Joeckel is set to be reevaluated in the near future, and it's difficult to say how near a return he is until that occurs.
Joeckel (knee) will be reevaluated in three weeks, Liz Mathews of USA Today reports.
This means Joeckel will miss games against the Giants, Texans and Redskins, and he'll have his next chance to play in Week 10 against the Cardinals -- a Thursday night matchup. For now, Mark Glowinski will slot in at left guard.
Joeckel (knee) is unlikely to be ready in time for Week 7, Brady Henderson of ESPN reports.
Joeckel is scheduled for a knee scope Thursday and fortunately is afforded extra time to heal given the Seahawks' bye in Week 6. However, it doesn't sound like that will be enough time to recover. While nothing's certain at this juncture, Week 8's date with the Texans seems like a more probable return date for the offensive lineman.
