Brown made four tackles (three solo) in Saturday's playoff loss to the Rams.
Brown logged a season-high 69 defensive snaps in this game, eclipsing his regular-season average of 45.9 per game. He was solid in the regular season, marking 44 tackles, two sacks and eight pass breakups in 15 games as the team's No. 3 cornerback. Brown will likely retain that role in 2019, which is the final year of his contract.
Brown will work again as the Cowboys' No. 3 corner after missing Week 16's game versus the Buccaneers. The third-year pro's stat line has regressed slightly this season, as he's sporting 42 tackles, seven pass breakups and one interception. His job will be slightly easier since Odell Beckham (quadriceps) is inactive, bumping Cody Latimer into the Giants' third wideout spot.
Brown (back) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants, Jon Machota of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Brown missed last week's win over the Buccaneers due to back spasms and begin this week not practicing, though he was a limited participant Thursday and Friday. The Cowboys are locked into No. 4 seed in the NFC and are unlikely to take any unnecessary with injuries as the playoffs are on the horizon.
Brown missed Sunday's win over the Buccaneers due to back spasms, Calvin Watkins of The Athletic reports.
Coach Jason Garrett indicated Monday that Brown avoided any structural damage to his back and is looking to return to practice this week. The issue cropped up last week, as the 25-year-old started the week participating fully and was unable to practice at all by the end of the week. Brown's status should become clearer once the Cowboys begin Week 17 preparations Wednesday.
Brown (back/hand) is inactive for Sunday's Week 16 tilt against the Buccaneers.
The status doesn't come as much of a surprise when considering Brown's practice participation deteriorated each day this past week. Without the benefit of Brown's presence against a potent Bucs passing attack Sunday, the Cowboys will likely afford Jourdan Lewis additional snaps behind starters Byron Jones and Chidobe Awuzie.
