The Seahawks signed Reed (foot) to their active roster Tuesday, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Reed was working on the team's practice squad after the Titans waived him with an injury settlement in August. He'll provide necessary depth in the secondary with Neiko Thorpe nursing a groin injury.
Reed (foot) agreed to an injury settlement and was waived from injured reserve, according to the league's official transaction log.
Reed is nursing a fractured foot that landed him on IR last week. The third-year defensive back will be free to sign elsewhere should he pass through waivers unclaimed.
Reed was recently placed on injured reserve after going down in practice last week. Surgery is on the table for the 2016 seventh-rounder, but Reed will reportedly wait a couple of weeks to determine if the injury can heal properly on its own. Regardless, Reed is stuck on IR for the remainder of the league year unless he agrees to an injury settlement with Tennessee management.
Reed has played seven games in the last two seasons, logging a total of 20 defensive snaps. The rest of his time comes on special teams, and that will be the route Reed will need to take once he's healthy again.
