Brown was set to become an exclusive-rights free agent later this month but worked out a new deal with the Packers ahead of the deadline to do so. The 25-year-old, who was scooped off waivers from the Raiders in December, posted 20 tackles (16 solo) in 12 games between the two teams.

Brown started the season with the Raiders but was picked up on waivers in early December while the Packers were being torched by an injury bug on the defensive line. The second-year pro hasn't surpassed 12 defensive snaps in three games with the Packers this year.

Brown is managing his recovery from a toe injury sustained during last week's win over the Jets, and appears to be trending towards suiting up Week 17. If Brown is able to play against the Lions, he'll see his usual rotational workload.

Brown was waived by the Raiders on Tuesday, and wasted no time finding a new home in the NFL. The second-year defensive end will look to earn rotational snaps in the Packers' 3-4 defense, which has lost starters Muhammad Wilkerson (ankle) and Mike Daniels (foot) to injured reserve.
