  • Bears' Marqui Christian: Posts no stats in loss

Christian failed to record a tackle in the Bears' 31-17 Week 18 loss to the Vikings, and he ended the season with 12 tackles and one pass defensed. He'll be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, though he'll likely latch on as a special teamer and defensive depth option.

  • Marqui Christian: Two-game suspension

Christian has reportedly been suspended for the first two weeks of the NFL regular season, Field Yates of ESPN reports. • Rams' Marqui Christian: Performing well at practice

Christian stood out in the team's first full-pads practice, delivering hard hits and intercepting a pass, Clarence Dennis of the Rams' official site reports. Christian ended the 2017 season on IR due to a shoulder injury. He'd primarily served as a special teams player prior to being sidelined, seeing the field on defense for just 47 snaps in 12 games. His solid play at Friday's practice is a positive sign for the young safety, who's been getting some extra reps while starter Lamarcus Joyner (Achilles) has been sidelined the past few days. Look for him to increase his role on defense if he keeps up the impactful play.

The injury occurred in the latter portion of the second quarter. Blake Countess and Mike Jordan will presumably see an increased role providing depth at cornerback if Christian is indeed unable to return.
