Broncos' Tyrie Cleveland: Has first multi-catch game
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cleveland caught four of five targets for 45 yards during Sunday's 32-31 loss to Las Vegas.

The rookie seventh-round pick entered Sunday with just two catches on the season and stepped up in a big way. All five of Cleveland's targets were on third down, and he converted three of them. The Florida product also converted a fourth third down by drawing a holding penalty. Cleveland definitely benefitted from the absence of fellow rookie KJ Hamler (concussion) and Tim Patrick (foot), but he showed promise heading into an offseason in which the bulk of Denver's young core of skill players will return.

Broncos' Tyrie Cleveland: Cleared going forward
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cleveland (illness) was absent from Tuesday's injury report, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.

Cleveland missed the Week 14 win over Carolina after falling ill but he's good to go moving forward. The 23-year-old wide receiver is ticketed as the team's top kick returner moving forward while handling occasional snaps on offense.

Broncos' Tyrie Cleveland: Listed as out
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cleveland (illness) will not travel to Sunday's game and was downgraded to out Saturday, Nick Kosmider of The Athletic reports.

It's worth noting the illness is reportedly not COVID-19, but he'll nevertheless not travel to Sunday's game. The receiver has caught two of his four targets for 18 yards this season and will likely have Diontae Spencer take over his duties as the primary kick returner.

Broncos' Tyrie Cleveland: Considered questionable
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cleveland (illness) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

Cleveland's illness hasn't been linked to COVID-19, but he'll surely be required to pass a few more tests to play Sunday. If he's unable to go, his absence will mainly affect special teams. Diontae Spencer likely would replace him as the primary kick returner.

Broncos' Tyrie Cleveland: One catch Week 13
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cleveland caught his lone target for 11 yards and returned three kickoffs for 77 yards during Sunday's loss to the Chiefs.

The 23-year-old played only two offensive snaps but secured his first reception since the season opener. Cleveland should continue to see most of his opportunities in the return game for Denver.

Broncos' Tyrie Cleveland: Cleared of concussion
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cleveland (concussion) wasn't on Wednesday's injury report and will play Sunday against the Raiders, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports.

Cleveland was evaluated for a concussion during last week's loss to the Falcons, but he cleared testing and is healthy moving forward. The rookie seventh-rounder slots in occasionally on offense, but his main contributions come on kick returns where he's averaged 22.4 yards per return.

Broncos' Tyrie Cleveland: Leaves with possible concussion
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cleveland exited Sunday's game against the Falcons to be evaluated for a concussion, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports.

The 23-year-old returned three kicks for 72 yards before exiting during the first half. KJ Hamler has taken over kick return duties in Cleveland's absence.

Broncos' Tyrie Cleveland: Resumes practicing in full
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cleveland (hip) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

Cleveland wasn't able to suit up against the Steelers in Week 2 due to a hip injury, but he now appears back to full health. The rookie seventh-round pick looks like he'll be available against the Buccaneers on Sunday, but he's not likely to materialize as a productive fantasy option.

Broncos' Tyrie Cleveland: Can't go Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cleveland (hip) is listed among Denver's inactive players for Sunday's matchup against the Steelers.

The seventh-round draft choice earned his way onto the field Week 1 by virtue of a sterling rookie training camp, but he ultimately only attracted one target during a 16-14 loss to Tennessee. Cleveland has since picked up an injury, and he will not be available for second-year quarterback Drew Lock on Sunday.

Broncos' Tyrie Cleveland: Uncertain for Sunday's game
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Cleveland (hip) is questionable for Sunday's game versus the Steelers, Zac Stevens of reports.

Cleveland played just five snaps in Monday's season opener and caught his only target for seven yards. The rookie seventh-rounder was limited in practice all week, but if he doesn't play, it shouldn't shake up the offensive dynamic too much.

Broncos' Tyrie Cleveland: Turning heads at camp
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Despite being the third receiver the Broncos took in the 2020 draft, Cleveland has managed to impress in camp, Benjamin Allbright of KOA News Radio reports.

Cleveland's claim to fame is hauling in a 63-yard Hail Mary to top Tennessee in 2017. Still, after averaging just 319 yards per year in four seasons at Florida, it was a slight surprise for the Broncos to spend a seventh-round pick on him after drafting Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler in the first two rounds of the draft. The top of the receiving corps has shaken out, so it should be Cleveland, DaeSean Hamilton, Fred Brown, and Juwann Winfree competing for just one or two spots. If he comes up short, Cleveland could be a developmental project who could be stashed on the practice squad and make strides in 2021.

Broncos' Tyrie Cleveland: Denver takes in seventh round
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

The Broncos selected Cleveland in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft, 252nd overall.

Cleveland (6-foot-2, 209) is a big and very athletic wideout (4.46-second 40, 39.5-inch vertical, 126-inch broad jump), and he flashed some playmaking ability in his Florida career. He didn't earn usage beyond a peripheral role, however, so he's unlikely to create playmaking opportunities for himself -- he might be more the sort of player that needs space manufactured. If he has room to run, though, Cleveland can capitalize. He'll try to make the final Denver roster and might pull it off if he shows well enough on special teams.
