  • Capitals' T.J. Oshie: Forces overtime Friday

Oshie scored a power-play goal on seven shots, added six hits and blocked two shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Panthers in Game 6. Oshie swatted the puck in with 1:03 left in regulation, though the Capitals would go on to lose in overtime. The 35-year-old was arguably their best player in the first-round series loss, potting six goals with one assist, 22 shots on net, 24 hits and a plus-2 rating in six appearances. That's encouraging production after he was limited to 25 points in 44 contests in an injury-riddled regular season.

Oshie scored a pair of goals, including one on the power play, on five shots in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Panthers in Game 5. Oshie netted the Capitals' first and third goals, but their offense dried up after the latter tally. The 35-year-old has been a bright spot for the Capitals' offense with five goals, including three on the power play, and one assist in five playoff contests. • Capitals' T.J. Oshie: In line to return

Oshie (lower body) is on the ice for warmups and is expected to return Saturday versus the Devils, JJ Regan of NBC Sports Washington reports. Oshie has missed four games with the injury, but it appears he'll be able to slot back in Saturday. He'll likely play in a middle-six role, and that should allow the Capitals to go back to a 12-forward lineup after playing with 11 forwards and seven defensemen Friday versus the Sabres.

  • Capitals' T.J. Oshie: Unavailable Friday

Oshie (lower body) will not play Friday against Buffalo, Samantha Pell of The Washington Post reports. Oshie has now missed four straight games despite appearing to be close to a return. The 35-year-old has 20 points while averaging 17:44 of ice time through 28 contests. He'll be considered questionable for Saturday's tilt with the Devils.

  • Capitals' T.J. Oshie: Remains out Tuesday

Oshie (lower body) did not take warmups Tuesday, indicating he'll be out versus the Blues, JJ Regan of NBC Sports Washington reports. Oshie will miss his third straight game with the injury. The Capitals are a bit short on forwards, so they'll likely dress seven defensemen for this contest. Oshie will try to be ready for Friday's game versus the Sabres.

  • Capitals' T.J. Oshie: Iffy against St. Louis

Oshie (lower body) is considered questionable for Tuesday's game versus the Blues, Samantha Pell of The Washington Post reports. Oshie's status against St. Louis will likely boil down to a game-time decision. If Oshie's unable to go, the Capitals may be forced to roll with 11 forwards and seven defensemen versus the Blues.

  • Capitals' T.J. Oshie: Suffers lower-body injury

Oshie (lower body) won't return to Thursday's game versus the Blue Jackets. Oshie suffered the injury early in the third period of a lopsided game. The winger logged an assist and went plus-2 in the contest. It's been an injury-plagued campaign for Oshie, and it's unclear at this time if he'll be able to play Friday against the Hurricanes. Oshie recorded two assists, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Canucks. • Capitals' T.J. Oshie: Making plays on power play

Oshie dished out a pair of power-play assists in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Hurricanes. Oshie started a passing sequence then made his way to the front of the net to provide the screen that Evgeny Kuznetsov used to score the game's first goal. He added another helper on Alex Ovechkin's second-period goal. Washington's power play has struggled this season, due in part to Oshie's extended absence due to injury, but perhaps the normally lethal unit is finally rounding into form. Seven of Oshie's 16 points in 22 games have come on the man advantage, so he's a key presence on the top unit alongside Ovechkin.

  • Capitals' T.J. Oshie: Provides only offense in loss

Oshie scored a power-play goal in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Flyers. His tally early in the second period ruined Carter Hart's shutout bid, but it was the only bit of life the Capitals' offense showed on the afternoon. It's Oshie's first point in two games since returning from his latest injury, and the 35-year-old winger has six goals and 14 points in only 20 contests on the season.

  • Capitals' T.J. Oshie: Good to go Thursday

Oshie (upper body) is in Thursday's lineup against the Rangers, Samantha Pell of The Washington Post reports. Oshie was removed from injured reserve ahead of Thursday's game after missing the last 14 games. The veteran winger has 13 points and a minus-4 rating through 18 games this season. He'll suit up in a middle-six role Thursday.

  • Capitals' T.J. Oshie: Could return Thursday

Head coach Peter Laviolette is "hoping" Oshie (upper body) will be good for Thursday's showdown against the Rangers, Samantha Pell of The Washington Post reports. Oshie has not played since Jan. 15, but worked on the third line -- as well as the top power-play unit -- during Thursday's morning skate which is a strong indicator that he is expected back in the lineup soon. The 35-year-old remains on the injured list and his availability for Thursday has not been finalized, but all signs indicate Oshie will be back in fairly short order, so fantasy managers should begin preparing for his return.

  • Capitals' T.J. Oshie: May travel for road game

Oshie (upper body) might make the trip for Thursday's game versus the Rangers, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports. Oshie has been sidelined since mid-January with an upper-body injury, but it looks like he could be ready to make his return to the lineup sooner rather than later. The 35-year-old vet has been limited to just 18 games this season due to injury, picking up 13 points over that span

  • Capitals' T.J. Oshie: Not traveling on road trip

Oshie (upper body) will not be joining the upcoming road trip, JJ Regan of NBC Sports Washington reports. Oshie did not participate in Monday's practice, Regan adds. The 35-year-old has missed the last 12 games while dealing with an upper-body injury that he incurred in a 2-0 victory over the Islanders on Jan. 15. He has averaged 17:34 of ice time -- 3:19 during the man advantage -- and racked up 13 points over 18 games this season.

  • Capitals' T.J. Oshie: Ruled out through All-Star break

Oshie (upper body) is expected to remain out of the lineup until after the NHL All-Star break, JJ Regan of NBC Sports Washington reports. Considering Oshie has yet to resume practicing with the team, there is no guarantee he will be ready to play coming out of the break versus Columbus on Feb. 8. The veteran winger has already been out of action for the Caps' last seven contests and will now be unavailable for at least two more. Once cleared to play, Oshie should be in the mix for a top-six spot in addition to rejoining the top power-play unit.
