  • Golden Knights' Tanner Pearson: Lands on IR

Pearson (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve, per the NHL media site Thursday. Pearson was out of action versus the Islanders on Tuesday and will now be sidelined through the 4 Nations Face-Off after landing on injured reserve. Prior to getting hurt, the 32-year-old winger was struggling to generate offense, managing just one point across his last 14 outings -- though he did chip in 25 hits over that stretch. Still, given Pearson's limited offensive upside, his absence is unlikely to impact the majority of fantasy managers.

  • Golden Knights' Tanner Pearson: Not playing Tuesday

Pearson (undisclosed) won't play Tuesday versus the Islanders, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports. Pearson was absent from Monday's practice as well, so it appears he is dealing with an injury or illness. He logged 11:14 of ice time versus the Rangers on Sunday. Pearson has been limited to one goal over his last 14 contests. Alexander Holtz was called up from AHL Henderson and will dress Tuesday to cover Pearson's absence.

  • Golden Knights' Tanner Pearson: Nets game-winner Sunday

Pearson scored a goal on two shots and blocked two shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Panthers. The tally ended a 10-game slump for Pearson, who also went minus-9 in that stretch. The winger received a boost when he got a look on the top line while the Golden Knights were dealing with injuries, but he's been unable to keep the momentum up since returning to the bottom six. Pearson has still put together a good season for a depth forward with nine goals, 10 assists, 62 shots on net, 69 hits, 29 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating over 50 appearances. His tally Sunday was his first game-winner of the campaign.

  • Golden Knights' Tanner Pearson: Fills empty cage

Pearson scored an empty-net goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Flyers. Pearson continues to provide depth scoring for Vegas, racking up three goals and two assists over his last six outings. This was his second empty-netter in that span, as it appears the Golden Knights trust the winger to be on the ice to close out games. He has eight goals, 16 points, 48 shots on net, 46 hits and a plus-11 rating through 38 appearances this season.

  • Golden Knights' Tanner Pearson: Two points in win

Pearson scored an empty-net goal, dished an assist, went plus-2 and added two hits in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Flames. Pearson earned his first multi-point effort since Oct. 25 with this performance. The winger has two goals and two assists over his last four contests. He's up to seven goals, 15 points, 42 shots on net, 44 hits and a plus-9 rating through 36 outings overall while filling a bottom-six role.

  • Golden Knights' Tanner Pearson: Tallies shorthanded goal

Pearson scored a shorthanded goal on two shots in Monday's 3-1 win over the Ducks. Pearson ended an 11-game goal drought with his tally late in the first period. During that slump, he had just two assists with 14 shots on net and 12 hits. The 32-year-old winger is up to six goals, 13 points, 39 shots on net, 41 hits, 20 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating through 34 appearances in a bottom-six role for Vegas. He's matched his point total from last year and should get over the 20-point mark for the first time since 2021-22.

  • Golden Knights' Tanner Pearson: Nabs assist Saturday

Pearson put up an assist in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Kraken. Pearson ended his five-game point drought when he helped out on a Noah Hanifin goal in the third period. The 32-year-old Pearson has been good in a bottom-six role this season with 12 points, 37 shots on net, 41 hits, 20 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating through 33 outings. That production doesn't fly off the page -- Pearson's a steady winger who can add depth scoring, but his fantasy appeal is limited.

  • Golden Knights' Tanner Pearson: Sends helper in win

Pearson logged an assist and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Ducks. Pearson ended a four-game slump when he set up an Alexander Holtz tally in the third period. The 32-year-old Pearson won't always have consistent offense since he's in a fourth-line role. He's carved out a decent amount of production so far with 11 points, 28 shots on net, 33 hits, 17 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating over 27 appearances. That scoring pace would put him over the 30-point mark for the first time since 2021-22.

  • Golden Knights' Tanner Pearson: Tallies again Monday

Pearson scored a goal on three shots in Monday's 5-4 shootout win over the Flyers. Pearson has scored in back-to-back games, and he has three points over his last five outings. The 32-year-old winger has been a strong fit in the Golden Knights' bottom six, but that's a role that doesn't lead to the most consistent offense. For the season, he has 10 points, 23 shots on net, 29 hits and a plus-6 rating across 22 contests. Vegas is missing three of its regular forwards, but Pearson's place in the lineup should be safe even when they're all available again.

  • Golden Knights' Tanner Pearson: Burns former team

Pearson scored a goal on one shot and had one hit in Saturday's 6-2 win over Montreal. Pearson scored the Golden Knights' third goal in a stretch of 2:17 minutes midway through the second period to blow open the game against his former team. The goal was the fourth (20 shots) for the fourth-liner, who snapped a nine-game drought without a tally.

  • Golden Knights' Tanner Pearson: Deposits goal Wednesday

Pearson scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Kings. Pearson scored for the second time in the last three games when he got the Golden Knights on the board at 14:58 of the second period. The winger has been limited to middle-six duties, but he's done fairly well in that role so far. Pearson is at three goals, seven points, 11 shots on net, 12 hits and a plus-7 rating over 11 appearances. He's already over halfway to matching the 13-point campaign he produced over 54 games with the Canadiens in 2023-24.

  • Golden Knights' Tanner Pearson: Strikes early in blowout win

Pearson scored a goal on two shots, added two hits, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Sharks. Pearson has two goals and three assists over his last four games. The 32-year-old winger remains in a bottom-six role, but he could get a boost in the quality of his linemates now that William Karlsson is healthy and playing on the third line. Pearson has six points, nine shots on net, nine hits and a plus-5 rating over nine appearances. He's a points-only option for fantasy managers in deeper formats.

  • Golden Knights' Tanner Pearson: Provides pair of helpers

Pearson logged two assists and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 6-4 win over the Senators. Pearson has four points over his last three games, though he remains in a bottom-six role. It's unclear how long he'll be able to sustain this burst of offense, given he's averaged 12:08 of ice time over eight contests. He has five points, seven shots on net, seven hits and a plus-3 rating this season.

  • Golden Knights' Tanner Pearson: Two points Saturday

Pearson scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Panthers. The veteran winger opened the scoring with 33 seconds left in the first period, turning a defensive-zone breakdown by Florida into his first goal of the season. Pearson hasn't been much of a fantasy asset in recent years -- he hasn't posted a 20-goal season since 2019-20 with the Canucks -- and his middle-six role with the Golden Knights likely won't lead to a resurgence. Through six games this season, he's managed three points.

  • Golden Knights' Tanner Pearson: Signs one-year deal

Pearson signed a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Golden Knights on Friday. Pearson had been in training camp on a PTO, but he played well enough to earn the contract. Pearson had two goals and an assist in four preseason games. The winger spent last season with the Canadiens, scoring only five goals while adding eight assists in 54 regular-season appearances. Pearson should see action on the fourth line, when he is not a healthy scratch this season as their 13th forward.

  • Golden Knights' Tanner Pearson: Sparks offense Tuesday

Pearson scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 6-1 preseason win over the Avalanche. Pearson's tally at 8:56 of the first period tied the game at 1-1, and the Golden Knights controlled things the rest of the way. Through four preseason games, Pearson has collected two goals and one assist. The 32-year-old winger is on a tryout agreement, but his strong showing could help him earn a contract from Vegas or another team. He's likely competing with Brendan Brisson and Tanner Laczynski to be an extra forward on the Opening Night roster at this stage of the exhibition schedule.

  • Golden Knights' Tanner Pearson: Gets tryout from Vegas

Pearson signed a professional tryout agreement with the Golden Knights on Tuesday. Pearson spent last season with the Canadiens, racking up 13 points in 54 contests. He missed a large chunk of time with an upper-body injury and was also a healthy scratch down the stretch. Injuries have taken significant portions of his last three seasons, but he's healthy and could push for a bottom-six role with the Golden Knights, who are currently expected to lean on young forwards in those spots.

  • Canadiens' Tanner Pearson: Pots game-winner

Pearson scored the game-winning goal on his only shot in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Coyotes. He also had a hit. Pearson received a pass from Jordan Harris then wheeled pass a flat-footed Liam O'Brien for the game-winner early in the third period. The strike was Pearson's fifth goal (first GWG) and first since Dec. 4. In between, the fourth-line forward missed 19 games with an upper-body injury.

  • Canadiens' Tanner Pearson: Records assist in loss

Pearson had an assist, four shots on net and two penalty minutes over 12:50 of ice time in Thursday's 7-4 loss to the Rangers. For the second consecutive game, Montreal's second line combined to give the Canadiens the first lead of the game. Pearson worked a loose puck from behind the net to Josh Anderson, whose shot was stopped before Jake Evans deposited the rebound. The Habs' top line has been the team's most productive unit recently, so it's encouraging to see secondary scoring over the last two tilts. Pearson now has 10 points (four goals, six assists) over 35 games.
