Soshnikov has appeared in just three contests this season, posting four shots on goal and eight hits. He has averaged only 9:56 of ice time and hasn't been in the lineup since Nov. 8 against the Rangers. Soshnikov could get some playing time in the minors if he clears.

Soshnikov has made the team out of training camp, but how long he remains on the team will likely depend upon his production. Soshnikov last played in the NHL during the 2018-19 season with the Blues. He has eight goals and eight assists in 87 career NHL games.
