Hurricanes' Skyler Brind'Amour: Adds three points in AHL win
Brind'Amour scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Chicago's 5-2 win over Milwaukee on Saturday.
Brind'Amour has four goals and four assists over his last six games. The forward is up to 13 points through 22 appearances for the Wolves this season. He's over halfway to matching his total from last year (24 points in 68 regular-season outings), but the 26-year-old doesn't seem likely to get much of a chance with the Hurricanes in 2025-26.

Hurricanes' Skyler Brind'Amour: Two of each in AHL win
Brind'Amour scored twice and added two assists in AHL Chicago's 8-4 win over Rockford on Wednesday.
Brind'Amour nearly doubled his output for the season with this four-point game. He's at five goals, four assists, 29 shots on net and a minus-5 rating over 17 appearances. The 26-year-old is on pace to surpass his 24-point performance from 68 regular-season games a year ago, but he's unlikely to be near the top of the list for the Hurricanes whenever they need a forward call-up.

Hurricanes' Skyler Brind'Amour: Lands on waivers
Brind'Amour was designated for waivers Monday in order to reassign him to AHL Chicago, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
Brind'Amour has played in just two NHL games in his career, logging one goal, one shot and two PIM in those contests. The 26-year-old center put up decent numbers in 2024-25 with the Wolves, generating 16 goals and eight assists in 68 regular-season outings. Still, he'll need to perform better than that to force his way onto the Hurricanes' roster.

Hurricanes' Skyler Brind'Amour: Staying in Carolina's organization
Brind'Amour penned a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Hurricanes on Monday, per PuckPedia.
Brind'Amour appeared in two regular-season games with the Hurricanes in 2024-25, scoring his first career NHL goal on his only shot. The left-shot forward also recorded 16 goals, 24 points and a minus-14 rating over 68 regular-season appearances with AHL Chicago. Carolina has a deep forward group, and considering Brind'Amour's new deal is a two-way contract, he's likely to spend the whole campaign with the Wolves unless multiple injuries open up a spot with the big club.

Hurricanes' Skyler Brind'Amour: Back in AHL
Brind'Amour was reassigned to AHL Chicago on Friday.
Brind'Amour made his NHL debut in Montreal on Wednesday and scored his first career goal Thursday in Ottawa. The 25-year-old had 16 goals and seven assists across 67 AHL contests before his recall.

Hurricanes' Skyler Brind'Amour: Pots first NHL tally
Brind'Amour scored his first career NHL goal in Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Senators.
The 25-year-old banged home a rebound inside the final minute of the first period to produce his first career point. While Brind'Amour saw significant ice time over the final two games of the regular season as Carolina rested some key players, he's unlikely to have much of a role when the team begins its playoff run Sunday against the Devils.

Hurricanes' Skyler Brind'Amour: Summoned from minors
Brind'Amour was recalled from AHL Chicago on Tuesday.
Brind'Amour has produced 16 goals and 23 points in 67 minor-league outings this season. He will likely make at least one appearance in Carolina's final two regular-season games, as the team will rest some players before the beginning of the playoffs.

Hurricanes' Skylar Brind'Amour: Assigned to AHL
Brind'Amour was assigned to AHL Chicago on Sunday.
After spending most of camp with the Hurricanes on a PTO, Brind'Amour signed a one-year, two-way contract with the team Sunday. He'll head to the minors ahead of the regular season after making 54 appearances for AHL Charlotte last year. It wouldn't be surprising to see him spend most of the 2024-25 campaign with the Wolves.

Hurricanes' Skylar Brind'Amour: Earns full contract
Brind'Amour signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Hurricanes on Saturday.
Brind'Amour was on a professional tryout during training camp and has turned it into his first NHL-level deal. That said, he is likely to spend much of 2024-25 with AHL Chicago. Brind'Amour produced just eight points in 54 regular-season games with AHL Charlotte a year ago, which is a clear signal his offense is not strong enough yet to be an NHL regular. Look for Brind'Amour to be reassigned to the minors prior to the start of the regular season.
