The San Francisco 49ers have a path to the No. 1 seed in the NFC, but they'll have to get past the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football in Week 16 of the 2025 season to keep that hope alive. The Colts have cooled off substantially from their hot start but have an outside chance at the postseason and have brought in future Hall of Famer Philip Rivers to step in at quarterback for the rest of the season. The 49ers have leaned on Brock Purdy, who has won his last four starts for San Francisco.
