Week 4 NFL betting preview, picks

Over 49.5 points: Los Angeles Rams vs. Indianapolis Colts | 4:05 p.m. ET | Sunday, Sept. 28

The Colts are off to a surprise 3-0 start after Daniel Jones won a training camp battle over Anthony Richardson to become the starting quarterback in Indianapolis. Jones had six difficult seasons with the Giants, but is averaging a career-best 9.3 yards per pass attempt and has helped turn the Colts into one of the best offenses in the NFL early this season. Meanwhile, Sean McVay, Matthew Stafford and the Rams ranks top five in the NFL in total offense through three weeks. The SportsLine Projection Model has the over hitting in 54% of simulations and predicts 53 combined points on average.

Baltimore Ravens (-2.5) vs. Kansas City Chiefs | 4:25 p.m. ET | Sunday, Sept. 28

"The Kansas City Chiefs are getting healthier with the return of Xavier Worthy, but the lack of a ground game is still there," SportsLine NFL expert Zack Cimini (8-3-1 on last 12 KC ATS picks) said. "Baltimore ran into a Detroit team playing peak football on Monday night, look for the Ravens to use that as fuel to clean up issues on both sides of the football. It's also a value angle seeing the Chiefs for the second time this season as a home underdog. Grab the Ravens."

Green Bay Packers (-6.5) vs. Dallas Cowboys | 8:20 p.m. ET | Sunday, Sept. 28

Affectionately dubbed the Micah Parsons bowl after the all-pro defender was traded from Dallas to Green Bay in August, the tensions are sure to be high here. Cowboys vs. Packers is already one of the most storied rivalries int he conference and Parsons' breakup with Dallas was a contentious one after a long and drawn out contract negotiation. Parsons is likely to be a problem for a Cowboys offensive line that's recalibrating and the Dallas defense has given up 68 points and 891 yards in the last two weeks to the Bears and Giants. Green Bay covers in 54% of the model's simulations.
