Over the weekend, a dispute between Ohio State and Michigan fans led to cursing, hair-pulling and thrown punches on a Lake Erie boat.

Our friends at 247Sports passed along a this story from 13 ABC Action News in Toledo. According to the news report, which you can see embedded below or at ABC 13's site, the fight resulted in assault charges for  25-year-old Ashley Artiaga and 31-year-old Ian Schuster.

"They were arguing, cursing at each other," Ben Freeman, a witness at the scene told 13 ABC. "As the argument went on, the Michigan fan's girlfriend stood up, pulled the hair of the Ohio State's fan's girlfriend … the wife, actually. He tried to defend his wife by shoving the Michigan fan's girlfriend. The Michigan fan stood up and tried to defend his girlfriend. And after that they mutually started to fist fight and swing on each other. It was crazy."

Todd Blumensaadt, the owner of Jet Express, the company which owns the boat carrying the fans, was quoted as well, noting that at 1:42 a.m. "there may be a few drinks involved in this one."

"It happens," Blumensaadt said. "They get very passionate about their teams."
