Trevone Boykin will be 'ready to go' in a few weeks after minor surgery
TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin underwent minor wrist surgery on his non-throwing hand and will miss the spring game.

TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin is "great" after undergoing minor wrist surgery on his non-throwing hand, according to Gary Patterson.
Boykin's surgery was announced in February. The Horned Frogs' quarterback suffered the injury last season but played with a soft cast on the wrist and played well enough to lead TCU to a share of the Big 12 title and finish fourth in the Heisman race.
According to Patterson, Boykin will miss the spring game on April 10 but will be "ready to go" for all team activities by the end of the month.
"Everything is great," TCU coach Gary Patterson told FOX Sports Southwest on Thursday. "Minor surgery so no worries."
Boykin suffered the injury during last season and continued to play with a soft cast on his left hand.
"He will be ready to go by the first of May," Patterson said.
TCU is sure to enter the 2015 as a popular pick to repeat as Big 12 champs and content for a College Football Playoff spot. The assumed productivity of Boykin, coming off a 41-touchdown season (33 passing, eight rushing), is obviously a big part of that projection.
