  • Ravens' Marquise Brown: Three catches in finale

Brown brought in three of seven targets for 27 yards in the Ravens' 16-13 overtime loss to the Steelers on Sunday.

Brown was a distant second to Mark Andrews in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the afternoon to close out the campaign rather quietly. The third-year speedster did manage to get over 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his career with Sunday's production, finishing at 1,008 alongside 91 receptions over 16 games. Brown's campaign closed with back-to-back three-reception efforts, but considering he played with Tyler Huntley and not Lamar Jackson (ankle) in those contests, the downturn is largely explainable.

  • Ravens' Marquise Brown: Cleared for Sunday

Brown (ankle) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Steelers.

The speedy wideout returned to a full practice Friday after missing Thursday's session, which sets the stage for him to suit up this weekend. In the process, Brown will once again be catching passes from QB Tyler Huntley, with Lamar Jackson (ankle) ruled out by the Ravens. Brown is coming off a Week 17 effort in which he caught three of his eight targets for 28 yards in a loss to the Rams.

  • Ravens' Marquise Brown: Added to injury report

    Brown (ankle) missed practice Thursday.

Brown practiced fully Wednesday, so his status now is worth monitoring as Sunday's game against the Steelers approaches. Unless the speedy wideout practices fully Friday, he'll likely head into the weekend with a Week 18 injury designation.

  • Ravens' Marquise Brown: Ineffective yet again

Brown caught three passes for 28 yards on eight targets against the Rams on Sunday.

It's been a brutal month for Brown, who's seen 39 targets over his last four games yet has just 156 yards to show for it. Tyler Huntley doesn't have much downfield ability as a passer, so that's likely made it tougher to get the speedster involved. Moreover, Brown's effectiveness Sunday may have been impacted by him missing practice with an illness earlier in the week. It might be difficult for Brown to maximize his fantasy value if Lamar Jackson (ankle) sits out again in Week 18.

  • Ravens' Marquise Brown: Good to go Sunday

Brown (illness) is active for Sunday's game against the Rams.

The Ravens tagged Brown as questionable for the Week 17 contest after he was unable to practice Thursday and Friday while battling a non-COVID-19-related illness, but the wideout made enough progress leading into Sunday's game to avoid inactive status. Though he's not expected to face any limitations against Los Angeles, Brown will likely draw shadow coverage from star Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey for most of the contest. In addition to being followed by Ramsey, Brown will have to make do without Lamar Jackson (ankle) for the third week in a row. In each of the previous three games with either Tyler Huntley or Josh Johnson under center, Brown has produced a 20-128-0 receiving line on 31 targets.

  • Ravens' Marquise Brown: Questionable for Week 17

Brown (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams after missing practices Thursday and Friday.

Brown's status is thus worth closely monitoring, though fortunately for those considering him in Week 17 fantasy lineups, the Ravens kick off at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. If he ends up out or limited this weekend, added opportunities would be available for Sammy Watkins and Rashod Bateman.

  • Ravens' Marquise Brown: Remains sidelined Friday

Brown (illness) wasn't present for Friday's practice, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Back-to-back practice absences recorded by the wideout are concerning, though it remains to be seen how the team lists his his Week 17 availability. Added clarity with regard to Brown's chances of suiting up Sunday against the Rams should arrive upon the posting of the Ravens' final Friday injury report and/or transactions.

  • Ravens' Marquise Brown: Misses practice Thursday

Brown didn't practice Thursday due to an illness.

Brown was a full practice participant Wednesday, so his absence Thursday is notable. At this stage, it's unclear if the wideout's illness could impact his availability for Sunday's game against the Rams, but a return to the field, in any capacity, on the part of Brown on Friday would be reassuring to those considering him in Week 17 fantasy lineups.

  • Ravens' Marquise Brown: Another inefficient game

Brown caught five passes for 44 yards on nine targets against Cincinnati on Sunday.

As the Ravens' smallest receiver, Brown is the easiest one for a quarterback to miss, and he tends to suffer when playing with a quarterback who struggles to throw downfield. Lamar Jackson definitely has more of an inclination to throw deep than Tyler Huntley (illness) or Sunday's starter Josh Johnson, so it's not terribly surprising that Brown's efficiency fell off with that change at quarterback. It's not clear who will be taking snaps for the Ravens when they face the Rams in Week 17.

  • Ravens' Marquise Brown: Catches 10 passes

Brown caught 10 of 14 targets for 43 yards in Sunday's 31-30 loss to the Packers.

Brown was fill-in quarterback Tyler Huntley's release valve underneath, racking up the receptions but going for minimal average yardage. In fact, the speedster's longest reception went for just seven yards. While it certainly wasn't Brown's most explosive outing, his consistent involvement actually saw him turn in his first regular-season performance with double-digit catches of his career. That accomplishment helped Brown's stock Sunday, but potentially getting starting quarterback Lamar Jackson (ankle) back in Week 16 versus the Bengals could elevate his fantasy ceiling.
