Cameron Lard: Cut loose by Lakeland
The G League Magic waived Lard on Monday.
Lard appeared in just two games for Lakeland during his few weeks with the club, averaging just 7.3 minutes in the pair of showings. He will now head through waivers and could find his way back to a roster with either the Magic or another club in the future.

Cameron Lard: Doesn't pay Saturday
Lard was a DNC-CD in Saturday's matchup with the Herd.
The motivation for Lard's benching is unclear as Lakeland has been reduced by injuries to -- at best -- an eight-man rotation. The 22-year-old played 11 minutes in his G League debut against the Herd on Friday, contributing four points (2-5 FG), one rebound, one steal and a block in 11.0 minutes.

Cameron Lard: Links up with G League Magic
The G League Magic signed Lard from the avaialble player pool Sunday.
Lard was selected 11th overall by Lakeland in the 2020 G League Draft but failed to make it through roster cuts with College Park. He has found a new home with Lakeland and should provide some frontcourt depth, though it's unlikely he will take on a large rotational role immediately.

Cameron Lard: Taken 11th in G League Draft
Lard was selected 11th overall in the 2019 G League Draft.
Lard possesses a strong athletic profile and does well as a shot-blocker and defender, averaging 5.6 points, 2.8 boards and 1.2 blocks over 12.5 minutes per game as a sophomore due to some suspension issues that limited him to just 24 games. He opted to continue his career professionally rather than return to Iowa State in 2019-20 and now has a new home in College Park.
