White made his season debut, returning from a calf injury suffered during the preseason. While it certainly wasn't his best performance, the simple fact that he was back on the floor should be seen as a huge positive. There is going to be a ramp-up period, for sure, which does limit his short-term upside. After trading away LaMelo Ball, the Hornets signed White to a three-year, $74 million deal this offseason. The veteran guard was traded from Chicago to Charlotte last February and provided a spark off the bench for the Hornets in 2025-26, though he's now expected to step into a starting role.
