A veteran of 136 career appearances in the majors, Davis failed to gain any momentum for a call-up to Houston in 2023 after struggling mightily at Triple-A Sugar Land. Over his 20 relief outings at Sugar Land spanning 25.2 innings, Davis pitched to an 11.22 ERA and walked more batters (38) than he struck out (34).
