Walsh was placed on the 7-day minor-league injured list due to a right elbow injury June 7.
Walsh has been sidelined for several weeks, and he received a PRP injection in his right elbow Friday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports. The right-hander will be shut down for approximately six weeks, and it's not yet clear whether he'll return to game action prior to the end of the regular season.
