Molina is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.
Molina is getting some routine maintenance Tuesday after he started behind the plate in both of the past two days. Andrew Knizner will serve as the Cardinals' catcher and No. 8 hitter in the second game of the series with the Mets.
