Diamondbacks' Cody Hall: Designated for assignment

Hall was designated for assignment by the Diamondbacks on Sunday.

A series of roster moves ultimately led to Hall getting DFA'd, starting with the placement of David Peralta (wrist) on the disabled list. To provide outfield depth in his absence, the Diamondbacks recalled Michael Bourn from Double-A Mobile, and a spot on the 40-man roster was needed. That spot came at Hall's expense, despite the fact that the reliever hasn't tossed a single inning in the majors this season.
