Betts is starting at shortstop and batting leadoff Monday against the Nationals, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
The start at shortstop is his sixth this season but it's his first time playing there in more than two weeks. It will be Betts' eighth overall appearance at the position, inching him closer to gaining eligibility there on platforms with a 10-game threshold.
