With only one week left, you should feel free to swap out whomever allows you to maximize your lineup -- especially if it's for Frank Schwindel, who somehow remains unrostered in more than one-third of CBS Sports leagues.
One streaking hitter who you shouldn't count on, though, is Bobby Dalbec, even with the Red Sox having the fourth-best hitter matchups this week. They close out the season in Washington and won't have the DH spot available for three games. It means one of J.D. Martinez, Kyle Schwarber, Hunter Renfroe, Alex Verdugo and Dalbec will have to sit, and while it may not be Dalbec for all three, he would appear to be the most vulnerable.
In any case, here are my 10 favorite sleeper hitters for Week 27 (Sept. 27-Oct. 3), all rostered in less than 80 percent of CBS Sports leagues.
CHC Chi. Cubs • #18 • Age: 29
Frankie Two-Hits has seen his batting average rise into the .330 range this month because, well ... he always seems to get two hits. The Cubs have the third-best hitter matchups this week, so get on it already.
COL Colorado • #7 • Age: 25
Perhaps the most featured hitter in this space all season long, Brendan Rodgers has caught fire in September and is looking at another week of favorable matchups, both at Coors Field and away.
STL St. Louis • #48 • Age: 27
He has faked us a couple times already, but a two-week hot streak has culminated in him hitting three home runs and stealing two bases over the weekend. While the Cardinals aren't among the top five for hitters matchups this week, they have a case for No. 6.
Ian Happ LF
CHC Chi. Cubs • #8 • Age: 27
Did I mention the Cubs' matchups? Yeah, Ian Happ is no Frank Schwindel, but he's been on a six-week hot streak that's raised his batting average 50 points and seen him hit 13 home runs.
BOS Boston • #5 • Age: 30
He looked a little sluggish after first returning from COVID, but he's beginning to heat up again. He's always been a lefty masher, and the same holds true this year, which works out well with four lefties on the schedule this week
Lane Thomas CF
WAS Washington • #28 • Age: 26
The former Cardinal has thrived in the leadoff spot for the Nationals and could take his production to new heights with a series at Coors Field.
Nicky Lopez SS
KC Kansas City • #8 • Age: 26
The stolen bases haven't been as frequent of late, but he's still piling up multi-hit games. He's on one of just six teams scheduled for seven games this week.
Kyle Farmer SS
CIN Cincinnati • #17 • Age: 31
The Reds will miss the White Sox's best pitchers in their upcoming two-game set, so Kyle Farmer should continue to have an impact on the offense side while qualifying at every infield position in Fantasy.
Miguel Sano 1B
MIN Minnesota • #22 • Age: 28
The all-or-nothing slugger should be more on the "all" side of the ledger with the Twins having the fifth-best hitter matchups this week. He generally has been of late, hitting 10 homers in his past 33 games.
CHC Chi. Cubs • #66 • Age: 30
Again, there's a lot to like about the Cubs matchups this week, and while Rafael Ortega hasn't been one of their loudest contributors of late, he is still their leadoff hitter. He's also batting .310 with an .870 OPS against righties, and the schedule features five of those.
