Giants' Sam Delaplane: Throwing bullpen sessions

Delaplane (elbow) is scheduled to throw bullpen sessions twice weekly as he continues his recovery from Tommy John surgery, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Delaplane is still likely months away from getting back into game action after his Tommy John surgery in April of 2021. The right-hander was non-tendered by the Giants but signed a minor-league contract in December to remain with the organization. He will likely begin his season at Triple-A Sacramento once healthy.
