Gilberto Jimenez: Released by Boston

The Red Sox released Jimenez on Monday, Peter Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Jimenez had been a top prospect in the system from 2019 to 2022, but he never translated his athleticism into production and topped out at the High-A level in the organization's minor-league system.
