Marisnick was released by the Rangers on Tuesday.
Marisnick joined Texas on a minor-league deal in mid-March but was unable to win a spot on the Opening Day roster. The 31-year-old appeared in 99 games between the Cubs and Padres last season and had a .661 OPS and 32.8 percent strikeout rate. Marisnick will look to latch on elsewhere in hopes of another opportunity in the big leagues now that he's been released.
