Ramirez (elbow) will be traded from the Red Sox to the Nationals in exchange for Kyle Schwarber (hamstring) on Thursday, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.

Ramirez was pitching extremely well with Low-A Salem this season before being shut down with tendinitis in his elbow. He had maintained a 2.03 ERA and a 1.13 WHP with 32 strikeouts across 31 innings prior to hitting the injured list. He'll join an impressive group of young arms in the Nationals organization, though it's unclear when he'll be able to take the mound again.
