Nationals' Erick Fedde: MRI results encouraging

Fedde said Saturday that his MRI on his right oblique came back "pretty clean," Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Fedde was scratched from his scheduled start against the Mets on Thursday due to side soreness, but he doesn't appear to be dealing with a significant injury. He'll play catch Saturday before determining the next steps in his recovery process. Although the right-hander hasn't ruled out pitching during his first turn through the rotation, he said that he won't rush back if doing so could make the issue worse.
