Nationals' Jayson Werth: Activated from DL, starting in right field

Werth (toe) was activated from the 60-day disabled list Monday, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports. He is starting in right field and batting seventh against the Marlins.
As expected, Werth is back with the Nationals ahead of Monday's series opener against Miami. Manager Dusty Baker said Werth, who hit .262/.367/.446 with eight homers in 47 games before injuring his toe, will take over starting duties in right field until Bryce Harper (knee) returns from an injury of his own, according to Jamal Collier of MLB.com. Monday will mark his first major-league action since June 3, so while he's set to immediately reenter Washington's starting lineup, the Nationals will likely afford Werth regular days off as they ease him back into action. Rafael Bautista was sent to the minors to clear room on the 25-man roster, while Stephen Drew (abdomen) was shifted to the 60-day DL to open up a 40-man spot.
