Margot has made the Padres' Opening Day roster, Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

A highly-touted prospect in the Padres' system, Margot will have a chance to make an impact right away as the projected starter in center field. Despite Margot battling a knee injury to finish with a .242 average in 12 spring games, it appears the team is willing to give him a shot to build off his 2016 success at Triple-A El Paso (.304 average, 55 RBI, 30 stolen bases).
