Red Sox's Andrew Politi: Returns from IL

Triple-A Worcester reinstated Politi (elbow) from its 7-day injured list Tuesday.

Politi was immediately put to work in Tuesday's 9-4 loss to Charlotte, retiring two of the three batters he faced while serving up a two-run home run. The 28-year-old had been out of commission for Worcester for nearly six weeks due to right elbow inflammation.
