Solomon was recalled by the Reds to serve as the 27th man in Saturday's doubleheader against Pittsburgh.

Solomon began the year by tossing seven scoreless frames at Double-A Chattanooga, and he hurled 3.2 scoreless innings over three appearances after being promoted to Triple-A Louisville. The right-hander hasn't yet made his major-league debut but will provide additional bullpen depth during Saturday's twin bill.
