Jones isn't in the Rockies' lineup Tuesday versus the Dodgers, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Left-hander Clayton Kershaw will start on the mound for the Dodgers on Tuesday, so the lefty-hitting Jones will get a breather and sit out the beginning of the game. Randal Grichuk will take over for Jones in right field and bat sixth.
