Rockies' Ryan Feltner: Sent back down

Feltner was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday.

Feltner was effective as a long reliever Friday against the Dodgers, striking out two in 3.1 scoreless innings. However, he'll head back to the minors a day after his promotion since Jordan Sheffield was recalled by Colorado on Saturday. Feltner should be in the mix to rejoin the big-league club if the Rockies need a spot starter or long reliever.
