Royals' Jermaine Palacios: Gets minors deal with Kansas City

Palacios signed a minor-league contract with the Royals on Monday.

Palacios was released by the Tigers last week after slashing .176/.232/.352 through 138 plate appearances with Triple-A Toledo. The 26-year-old utility player will report to Triple-A Omaha.
