Manager Rocco Baldelli said Buxton, who is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs, is dealing with lower-back stiffness, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
The Twins announced that Buxton was medically cleared after being removed from Sunday's game following a collision with the outfield wall, but the back stiffness is keeping him out of the lineup Tuesday for the second straight day. It remains to be seen if the 30-year-old is ready to go for Wednesday's series finale in Chicago, though Baldelli expressed confidence Buxton will be available for Friday's doubleheader versus Cleveland.
