Buxton went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and three RBI in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Guardians.
Buxton opened the scoring with a solo shot in the second inning and added a two-run homer in the eighth, but the Twins weren't able to generate any other runs. The outfielder has four homers over his last eight games, going 7-for-24 (.292) in that span. For the year, he's up to .278/.337/.533 slash line with 16 homers, 49 RBI, 54 runs scored and six stolen bases across 89 contests. He's four games shy of earning his highest number of games played in seven years.
