Difo signed a minor-league contract with the White Sox on Saturday.
He's essentially taking the utility role at Triple-A Charlotte vacated by Zach Remillard, who was called up to the majors Friday. Difo, 32, is a career .250/.311/.353 hitter over parts of eight major-league seasons.
